Bangalore Institute of Technology was established in the year 1979 with the objective of providing quality education in the field of technology and thereby providing service to society. BIT comes under the affiliation control of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belgaum. The college has achieved excellence in technical education with a committed team of staff, students and good infrastructural facilities. The all round development of a student is accorded high priority by BIT , at all times.
The BIT comes under the control of Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha. Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha was established in the year 1906 to encourage cultural, social and educational desire amongst agricultural community. The Management runs various reputed Educational Institutions with a commanding presence in Bangalore, Mandya, Mysore, Hassan, Tumkur and Kolar districts and with a fairly well spread presence in other regions of Karnataka.
BIT Bangalore is also a study centre for IGNOU programs. The research work for teaching is supported by facilities such as a central library with over 90,000 text books and reference books and a separate industrial consultancy and research centre. BIT College Bangalore has an auditorium than can house up to 1200 people, a separate seminar hall, a co-operative society, a canteen and a full fledged sports and cultural section for boys and girls. BIT has always been like the king of modern technology and it has the excellence of being the 1st College to introduce a full-fledged degree in Computer Science and Engineering in Karnataka. Many centres are carrying out inter-disciplinary research within BIT. Collaborative programs also exist between the college and other institutions like IISc and N.A.L.
The Institute caters to the students with necessary modern infrastructural facilities. BIT has highly qualified and experienced teachers. BIT has 289 faculty members with excellent knowledge and teaching calibre out of which 100 faculty members have PhD degree and 71 are pursuing PhD. Nearly 60% of faculty members have been working in BIT for more than twenty years. There are a total of 294 supporting staffs that make an efficient and committed team.
The institute conducts annual TEDx event called TEDxBITBangalore. They have seen eminent speakers participate in the event namely Prakash Belawadi, Roger Narayan, Sumukhi Suresh, Dr. Thimappa Hegde and many others. They have an Entrepreneurship and development cell called EDC:BIT to encourage students in the field. The annual techno cultural fest is conducted under the name MANTHAN. A cell named INFINITI was formed to encourage women in technology.

M.Tech Fee Structure at BIT
For the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program at RVCE the fees is approximately 4 Lakhs 55 Thousand per year. This AICTE-approved program is a full-time, three-year course affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

For both PG and UG courses at RV Engineering College, the fee payment procedure involves the following steps:

Document Verification: First, your documents must be verified by the respective authorities.

DD Submission: Next, you will need to prepare a Demand Draft (DD). Ensure to write your name, mobile number, and branch name on the back of the DD.
Submit the DD to the cashier. Then, complete the online application form by entering your academic details. After filling out the form, print it and affix your signature, photograph, and your parents’ signatures, along with other required documents. Finally, collect your fee receipt from the cashier as proof of payment.
