About Manipal University (MAHE)

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Manipal University) MAHE was established in 1953 by establishing the first self-financing medical college. Thereafter, in 1963, this group of institutions was declared to be a university by the Government of India. In a few years, the university has set a remarkable mark in the higher education field in India, from high placement rates to distinguished alumni. With Over 35,000 students from 60+ nations live, learn, and play in the sprawling University town, nestled on a plateau in Karnataka’s Udupi district. The Mangaluru campus offers Medical and Dental programmes. Manipal University (MAHE) – Eligibility Criteria

Manipal University (MAHE) offers varous undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The eligibility criteria vary depending on the course.

Below are the eligibility criteria for all the courses at Manipal University :

B.E

The candidate should secure a minimum of 50% marks in the 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology as an optional subject.

Additionally, the candidate should have appeared in the MET (Manipal Entrance Test) and obtained a valid score.

M.Tech

The Candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Additionally, the candidate must appear for GATE or M.E.T.

Weightage shall be given to GATE Qualified applicants.

MCA (Direct & Lateral)

The Candidate must Pass with a BCA / BSc (Computer Science / IT) from a recognized University, with a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent

Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Manipal University (MAHE) is open to students who meet the eligibility criteria. Admission Procedure for UG Program

To apply for undergraduate programs at Manipal University (MAHE), candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. The seat allocation for B.E. courses is as follows: 45% of the seats are reserved for the government quota, 30% for the private quota, and 25% for the management quota.

Aspirants aiming for admission under the management quota must have appeared in one of the designated entrance exams.

Admission Procedure for PG Program

Admissions to PG courses at Manipal University (MAHE) are granted based on merit scores from the entrance exams.

For M.Tech admissions, The Candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, the candidate must appear for GATE or M.E.T.
For the MCA course The Candidate must Pass with a BCA / BSc (Computer Science / IT) from a recognized University, with a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent
For MBA admission The candidate must have a bachelor's degree with not less than 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, He /She should have appeared for any one of the exams like (CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT) and have a valid score.
